Moonstar leapt onto the High Ledge and yowled. "Let all cats able to catch their own prey gather around the High Ledge for a Clan Meeting." She paused and waited for her clan to assemble, namely the kit who the ceremony was for. Echokit, soon to be Echopaw.

Echokit calmly stepped into the clearing and sat down near the High Ledge. He gave his paw a slight lick and brough it over his ear.
He wasn't nervous, or really excited. He was a little curious about who his mentor would be though, but that was about it.

"Today, Echokit has reached his sixth moon and is ready to become an apprentice." she continued. She gazed down at Echokit. "From this moment on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Echopaw. I will mentor you." she announced

Echopaw looked up at his leader with surprise on his face. Moonstar was to be his mentor? He hadn't expected that at all, but he quickly hid his surprise when he realized his slip-up. He stepped forward slightly so he could touch noses with his new mentor.

"You'll do just great." Moonstar assured him. "We can start training tomorrow. For now, why don't you go get some rest?" she purred.

Echopaw nodded his head to his leader and mentor, He was suddenly excited for training, which was something the tom normally wouldn't get excited about. How could he not get excited though? Moonstar herself was his mentor!
He turned around and headed off for the apprentice den, a small bounce in his step.
